What is the Heart & Hands Emporium?

It is a wonderful two-day shopping extravaganza sponsored annually by the Heart & Hands Women's Ministry at First Baptist Church in Gainesville, Georgia. Over 50 vendors fill the church's huge banquet hall with a variety of booths featuring hard-to-find items, gifts of all kinds, and other rare treasures. In past years, the types of wares included furniture, luggage, custom jewelry, handbags, clothing, metal art, ornaments, children's books, paintings, collectibles, stationery. There is also food and fun for the whole family!

Who does the Emporium benefit?

The 2011 beneficiary is the Gateway Center for Domestic Violence in Gainesville, GA. This outstanding organization provides protection, housing, education, and support for victims of domestic violence. They are starting a capital campaign to fund interim housing for families who have escaped the violent situations and are currently trying to earn their financial independence. The donation from the Emporium will go a long way to kick off this fund-raising campaign for this much-needed project.

When and where will it be held?

The Heart & Hands Emporium will be held on Friday, September 23rd from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, September 24th from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. The location is the First Baptist Church of Gainesville on Green Street's banquet hall which is right behind the sanctuary.

How can I become a vendor?

This is a great opportunity for small businesses to get the word out about their products. Not only will you see a large number of shoppers at the Emporium, but your name will be listed on this web site for a year with a link to your site or your email, if you like.
